Here is an email from Pastor Kip about Gene Ray:

Gene Ray, a pastor, friend and faithful man of God went to be with Jesus today at 10:16AM (EST). Please pray for his family. No arrangements are known for the funeral or visitation. I will let you know.

If you have a memory of Brother Gene and would like to share it, please leave a comment at the bottom of this post. We would love to share it with others. Thank you and God bless you.

  1. Brother Gene was a sweet christian gentleman. He loved his family dearly. He also loved his church family. Brother Gene believed in the power of prayer and called our home many times to request prayer or just to talk a bit.
His last call to Bob and I was to ask us and his Sunday School family to pray about his surgery. He knew it was risky, but knew too, that his life was in the Lords hands. He was satisfied with that knowledge.
    We will miss him.
God's comfort, peace and love to all the family.

  2. The Weaver
My life is but a weaving
    Between the Lord and me,
    I cannot choose the colors
    He worketh steadily.
    Often times He weaveth sorrow,
    And I in foolish pride
    Forget He sees the upper
    And I, the underside.
Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly,
    Shall God unroll the canvas
    And explain the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful
    In the Weaver's skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.
